About Me

I'm retired from teaching technology appli­ca­tions (what used to be called computer literacy) to middle school students in Houston, Texas. I have also been a truck driver (loved it, and for several years it paid better than teach­ing), driver education and defensive driving instructor, offset press operator (I was the sole printer in the old UH Downtown print shop in the early 70s, well before the current UH Downtown was created), fast food cook/cashier/supervisor, retail clerk, and a few other things I've forgotten.

If you can't tell from the quotes on the home page, I'm an introvert. I'm also a generalist—a “Jack of all trades and a master of none”—and quite content with that. Some of my interests include computers, dance, music, photo­graphy, and traveling.
